I am pleasantly surprised to know that my coworkers know what pi day is...and some even had pie at dinner.

sqare root of two day is much more important
Is that supposed to be on January 4th? (And anyway, pi is a much more interesting number than square root of two!)
if you don't like square root of two day you could also celebrate e day, golden ratio day or sine of one day. but I guess there is no food to eat on those days ...
