Fait Accompli

I gather that my introductory differential equations professor doesn't appreciate it when he is presented with a fait accompli.

In my inbox this morning:

"If you had needed my approval to register in the course in spite of a conflict with the lecture times I would have said no. However, since you're already registered, I can't stop you from trying this."

For some odd reason, imagining a resigned voice saying those words amuses me. Good thing that this professor seems to be a nice sort, and that I targeted other professors to get my papers signed!
