Question: should I go home for reading week?
Pros:
- So-called* "home" is pretty close-by - a couple of hours away. However, it'll take half a day for me to get there by transit
- More comfy/better food/the usual hedonistic pleasures
- Will be able to see family, for a change
Cons:
- Have to lug textbooks and notes there and back
- No Gaussian access; not sure about Beilstein either
- Home is not configured for studying - e.g. because I am away from the place so much, I don't actually have a real desk there (my room is really too small for one anyway).
Sigh.
*I say "so-called" because it doesn't feel like home. It's not one of the places where I grew up, and I have moved twice every four months practically since the start of undergrad.
