The monitor of my beloved laptop started flickering nonstop this morning. Didn't stop even when I restarted the computer. The harddrive still works (for now), but the monitor isn't behaving.
Amazingly, the monitor returned to normal after I bounced the laptop. Something's probably loose in there.
Right now I am backing everything up (something that I ought to do anyway, I know); hope it won't be necessary to actually get a new laptop.
